5S is usually mistaken for cleaning, painting or labelling. People sometimes take 5S practice lightly and therefore are unable to make improvements in the workplace. 5S has a much deeper meaning and it is the first step in increasing value of productivity. 5S is the foundation of continuous improvement and Lean. It helps us to do things in an efficient manner without any waste of time. It also focuses on improving quality, safety, efficiency and morale. It provides the fundamentals to maintain discipline in the workplace. The final outcome of 5S implementation is the marked improvement to the organization’s productivity and profitability.

Active participation and total involvement of all employees in the project is the key to its successful implementation. This 5S training is designed on a take-back-and-do approach.
